Everything you need to know about the REFLUX 00_7TEN Vaporizer

The genre of dabbing concentrates is evolving at warp speed. A mere 10 years ago, taking a dab meant blasting a tar-like distillate with a giant torch, then coughing until you puked. Fast forward to now, and the dabbing world is a sleek, shiny place where futuristic devices and crystalline cannabinoids reign supreme.

While devices like e-rigs and electric dab straws made dabbing accessible to novice users, there’s another class of dabbing technology that caters to experts who know exactly what they want out of their concentrate experience. Enter the REFLUX 00_7TEN Vaporizer by Indux Labs, a system that exists on the cutting edge of dabbing technology, truly in a league of its own.

By utilizing electromagnetic energy waves, the REFLUX heats concentrates slowly, building on a temperature ramp as opposed to introducing the concentrate directly onto a hot plate, eviscerating all the terpenes and chemical compounds that have lower boiling points.

Offering a totally unique experience — one free from the drawbacks of normal hot plate consumption like coughing fits, burnt lungs, and a general feeling of being near death — the REFLUX 00_7TEN Vaporizer provides more of a hookah-like situation. It vaporizes concentrates beginning with a gradual temperature build, activating every terpene and cannabinoid which gives you a full-spectrum experience like never before.

Though the system appears daunting to use at first, it’s actually extremely simple and totally worth it. As someone who dabs a lot, this is far and away the most incredible experience I’ve ever had consuming concentrates.

Here’s everything you need to know about the REFLUX 00_7TEN Vaporizer.

What is the Reflux?

The REFLUX is a vaporizing system that uses an electromagnetic field to heat concentrates slowly at low temperatures. As the temperature gradually increases on what’s called a “temperature ramp,” the individual boiling points of the components of your concentrate are progressively reached. In doing so, you get the most out of your concentrate. They last longer, taste better, and get you higher.

The REFLUX makes everything about your vaping experience customizable. With parts like an airflow key that controls vapor texture, and many different heating elements that can be combined to form an endless amount of configurations, the system is a scientific feat, perfect for the user who has — and knows — it all.

What can you vape with it?

The REFLUX is compatible with all types of concentrates, including shatter, budder, wax, etc.

How does it work?

So, what does it actually mean for a vaporizer to be electromagnetic?

The REFLUX utilizes an induction coil to generate an alternating electromagnetic field which heats a collection of interchangeable heating element configurations through a process called hysteresis. Hysteresis creates heat as a result of the friction between moving molecules, while eddy currents resistively generate heat.

The REFLUX’s heating elements are different shaped rods that, depending on their size and shape, determine your vapor experience. For example, rods with a quicker temperature ramp use a combination of hysteresis and eddy currents to heat the concentrate faster, thus producing a denser and more potent vapor, while other heating elements that only heat through eddy currents would produce a slower, less intense vapor.

Both temperature ramp and vapor texture are dependent on the shape, size, quantity, and material of the selected heating element configuration.

How do you use the REFLUX?

Though the process of heating concentrates in the REFLUX 00_7TEN Vaporizer sounds like an intimidating science experiment, using the vaporizer is pretty simple.

List of Heating Elements and Temperature Ramp Times

Fast-Temp

  • 6mm Shovelhead: <175 seconds
  • ⅛” Shovelhead: <200 seconds
  • ¼” Terpedo: <200 seconds
  •  3/16” Capsule: <200 seconds

Mid-Temp

  • 3/16” Bighead: <225 seconds
  • 5/32” capsule: <275 seconds
  • 3mm Rod: <300 seconds
  • ⅛” Rod: <300 seconds
  • 3/32” Rod: <400 seconds
  • 2mm Rod: <400 seconds

Slow-Temp

  • 1.8mm Rod: <400 seconds
  • 1.6mm Rod: <500 seconds
  • 1.5mm Rod: <500 seconds
  • 1.4mm Rod: <500 seconds

Quick Start Guide

  1. Flip on the switch at the back of the unit.
  2. Scoop a small amount of concentrate on one or more heating elements and drop it into a glass vial.
  3. Screw the vial into the bottom of the Reactor.
  4. Insert Reactor legs into the corresponding holes on the top plate.
  5. Adjust the airflow key over the holes to create desired airflow.
  6. Set the “timer cycle dial” to your desired electromagnetic heating cycle.
  7. Press the white button to initiate the heating cycle.
  8. Allow concentrate to preheat and then begin inhaling at the onset of vaporization to taste your concentrate at its best. Typically, a puff of vapor can be seen exiting the vent hole on the top of the Reactor at the onset of vaporization.
  9. If more vapor is desired after indicator life turns off, reinitiate the heating cycle by pressing the white start button.

What’s the appeal?

The appeal of the REFLUX 00_7TEN Vaporizer lies in its totally unique approach to vaporizing concentrates. Gradually ramping up the temperature of your concentrate allows you to experience the components of your concentrate at the lowest temperatures for unreal flavor and total efficiency. It also gives you the ability to control the compounds being formed and vaporized, as well as the texture of your vapor.

With systems starting at $1300 and going up to $2500, this is clearly not a product for the casual user. However, for the expert user who really knows and cares about what they are doing, there is no superior system. The REFLUX exists at the apex of haughty dab culture, a perfect union of science and swag that produces an experience like nothing else.
